Franziska STAUBLER
Sippo, Project Manager for Organic sector
Franziska Staubli Asobayire is a graduate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) from the Department of Food Science.
Before finishing her PhD Thesis on iron deficiency in the Ivory Coast carried out at the ETH Zurich in the year 2000 she spent several years working in Ghana at Heinz and Nestlé in the department of quality control. Afterwards, she joined the Ministry of Health of Switzerland working on the registration of novel food and functional food products.
She has been working since 2001 at the headquarters of Osec in Zurich with the responsibility of promoting companies in the sector of natural ingredients and their sustainable production methods.
For the past five years she has focused among other issues on finding sustainable ways in developing countries to conserve biodiversity in the area of wild collected medicinal and aromatic plants.
