Santaverde, Managing Director
Sabine Beer is the managing director and foundress of SANTAVERDE. The company was established in 1986. The basis of Santaverde is the controlled organic cultivation and the immediate, fresh processing of Aloe Vera plants on the own finca in Estepona, Andalusia. Here Sabine Beer developed the unique Santaverde formula: Instead of usually used water all Santaverde organic skin care contain as main ingredient pure Aloe Vera plant juice. In 1992 Sabine Beer completed the skin care range by the holistic idea of “beauty from the inside” – Santaverde launched organic juices and dietary supplements with Aloe Vera.
Julie brings an understanding of issues in a multi-cultural context through her interactions with the European institutions, the international community in general and the fact she is a British citizen based in Brussels for many years. She brings enthusiasm and drive to the natural and organic cosmetics sector which is aligned to her personal values of respect for nature, people and the environment.
First the small, premium product range of “Organic Skin Care and Beauty Food” was sold in natural food and cosmetics stores, but moved now to premium department stores and perfumeries like the KaDeWe in Berlin. The brand continuously developed and in 2006 the industry analyst Biovista marked Santaverde as the fastest growing brand of the small natural cosmetics companies.
In 2007 the experience in own organic cultivation in Spain was transferred to a new project in the North East of Brasil: Here Santaverde took over an old, savaged Cashew plantation and developed a new skin care line which paved the way for 100% organic skin care to the premium and luxury cosmetics world. The product line xingu was launched in March 2008.
Sabine Beer has a diploma in business. In addition to Santaverde she also leads the old business of her family Schür Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG, a production of plastic articles for medical and food technology in Gütersloh.
